Welcome to Shell Shine Cleaning (“Shell Shine,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By requesting an estimate, booking a service, accessing our website, or interacting with our business, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Services We Provide
We provide Residential and Short-Term Rental (STR) / Turnover cleaning services, plus optional add-ons. Services are performed based on the level of clean selected, the home’s condition, and the options/add-ons chosen.
Service time estimates are estimates only and may vary depending on home condition, access, occupancy/turnover conditions, pets, organization level, and add-on selections.
2. Quotes, Pricing, and What Your Booking Covers
Estimates & final pricing

Online/phone estimates are based on the information you provide (e.g., square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, level of clean, add-ons, STR status, laundry needs).

Final price may change if the property details differ from what was provided (e.g., more bathrooms than stated, heavier-than-normal buildup, extra rooms/areas, or additional requested tasks).
Square footage pricing

Residential pricing includes a base square-footage allowance.

Larger homes may incur additional charges in square-foot increments.
Bedrooms & bathrooms

Bedroom and bathroom counts affect pricing and workload. Accurate counts must be provided at booking.
Add-ons
Add-ons are optional and billed in addition to your selected clean level. Common add-ons include (as applicable): oven, fridge, party/event cleanup, grill cleaning, and other published services.
3. STR (Short-Term Rental) / Turnover-Specific Terms
Turnover standards & readiness
STR cleans are designed to help prepare the unit for guest-ready presentation based on the selected clean level and add-ons.
Same-day turnover (STR only)

Same-day turnover is available for STR services only and may carry an additional fee.

Same-day requests are subject to availability and may require flexible scheduling.
Laundry policy

STR: A set number of loads may be included per turnover; additional loads may be billed per load (subject to the limits shown in your estimate/booking details).

Residential: Laundry is optional and billed per load when selected.
Multi-room / hotel-style STRs (if applicable)
For properties with multiple rentable rooms under one primary address:

You may be asked whether to apply the same clean level/add-ons/laundry across all rooms.

Pricing is based on the total scope (rooms/areas included) and any shared/common spaces.
4. Scheduling & Arrival Windows
Appointments are confirmed once booked. Arrival times include a 30-minute arrival window.
We may adjust start times due to traffic, weather, access delays, prior job overruns, or scheduling efficiency. We will communicate changes when possible.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

Under 24 hours: a $40 fee or up to 50% of the service price may apply (depending on staffing and schedule impact).

Lock-outs / No access: If we cannot access the property within 15 minutes of arrival (including missing codes, incorrect instructions, no key access, or denied entry), the visit may be billed at 50% of the service price.

Emergencies or severe weather: qualify for a free reschedule when reasonably documented/communicated.
6. Access to Property & Preparation
Clients must ensure safe, legal, and timely access to the property.
Before the appointment, please provide:

Gate codes, lockbox info, key instructions, alarm details

Parking instructions (if applicable)

Pet details and any special entry requirements

STR notes (guest check-out time, trash location, supply closet access, etc.)
Basic preparation helps us deliver a better result (e.g., picking up excessive clutter, securing valuables, providing clear access to sinks, tubs/showers, and floors). Excessive clutter may require added time/fees or a reschedule.
7. Safety, Limitations, and Right to Refuse Service
For safety and liability reasons:

We do not lift heavy furniture, move large appliances, or handle hazardous materials.

We do not climb higher than a 2-step ladder.

We do not provide mold remediation, pest removal, biohazard cleanup, or other specialized hazardous services.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if conditions are unsafe, unsanitary beyond normal service scope, or if aggressive animals or threatening behavior are present. If service is refused after arrival due to unsafe conditions, a trip/service charge may apply.
8. Breakage, Pre-Existing Damage, and Liability
We take great care; however, accidents can happen. We are not liable for:

Pre-existing damage (including worn finishes, loose fixtures, water damage, paint chips, etc.)

Unsecured or unstable items

Delicate, high-value, or specialty items not disclosed in advance
(Examples: antique items, fragile décor, delicate glassware, specialty surfaces)
If damage occurs, please notify us within 24 hours of service completion with photos when possible. Claims submitted after 24 hours may be denied due to inability to verify cause.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee (Touch-Up Policy)
If any area does not meet expectations, notify us within 24 hours and we will return for a complimentary touch-up, when feasible, limited to the areas noted.
This guarantee does not apply to:

Items/services not included in the booked package

Issues caused by access restrictions, incomplete prep, excessive clutter, or conditions outside standard scope

Normal wear-and-tear or pre-existing damage
10. Payments (If/When Applicable)
Payment terms (due date, accepted methods, deposits for certain bookings, and STR scheduling requirements) follow what is shown at the time of booking or on your invoice/estimate.
Non-payment may result in cancellation of future services.
11. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content, images, designs, and materials on our website are the property of Shell Shine Cleaning and may not be copied, reused, or distributed without written permission.
12. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version in effect at the time of booking applies to that service unless otherwise required by law.
